Requirements for the Sponsor

To sponsor your immediate family members to Canada, you must meet certain eligibility and financial requirements set by immigration authorities.

The two key factors for sponsorship include:

  • Financial Ability:
You must demonstrate that you can support your family member by providing essential needs such as food, shelter, and daily living expenses without relying on government assistance.
  • Minimum Necessary Income (MNI):
You are required to meet the minimum income threshold, which may vary depending on the number of family members and, in some cases, the province you reside in.

In addition, sponsors must be at least 18 years old, currently residing in Canada, and hold either Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.

At Atlas World Consultancy, we help you assess your eligibility, understand income requirements, and prepare the necessary documentation to ensure a successful sponsorship application.
